After a number of “blue check” accounts tested Elon Musk’s commitment to free speech by changing their Twitter screen names to “Elon Musk,” the Chief Twit immediately implemented a new policy that barred people from doing something he personally found annoying.
Comedian and provocateur Kathy Griffin changed her name and apparently got her account suspended. The suspension page has been changed to refer just to her Twitter handle, omitting her chose screen name.
In other Twitter news: according to Bloomberg, Twitter is reaching out to scores of workers it unceremoniously fired last week after finding that those employees served vital functions for the company, including developing some of the features Musk demands.
