Endorsed by Donald Trump, Daniel Cameron, the first African-American Attorney General in Kentucky history, won the GOP nomination to be the state’s governor in one of a number of elections oddly scheduled for the middle of May. The New York Times reports Cameron beat the three-contender field, with the Ron DeSantis-back Kelly Craft currently sits in third place with 61% of precincts reporting. Cameron will face incumbent Democrat Andy Beshear in November.
