After President Joe Biden appeared to trip over a cord at the Air Force Academy, conservatives cackled celebratorily as they have new fuel to air again and again. But in this case, the White House won’t issue numerous statements detailing how steep the ramp was, nor will the President repeatedly comment about how slippery and wet the stage was. You know, like the last guy’s administration after he slowly shuffled down a ramp at West Point.
The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery. The last thing I was going to do is “fall” for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!
