In an article titled “Trump Has Glossed Over High Prices. Republicans Worry It Will Cost Them,” the Wall Street Journal quotes from several members of the MAGA party expressing said worries – with varying degrees of alarm – over the future political impact of the fat fuck thus far having indeed largely “glossed over” the issue after a campaign largely focused on making it sound like the Biden Administration had deliberately inflicted increased costs on the American people.
There was something of a noticeable dispositive difference in the level of unease, perhaps speaking to the also steadily rising political price of pointing out that the party ruled with a flabby fist by the Orange Overlord better figure it out sooner rather than later. On one end there were Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who said he doesn’t “feel like people are blaming him on that yet, but I think that’s a risk you get three, six months down the road. It’s a risk for any politician,” and “moderate” Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon, who told the Journal he thinks “it’s too early to say if the president has acted on inflation,” adding “it may take a while for tangible results to be seen.”
On the other was longtime MAGA economic douchebag Stephen Moore, who definitely sounds like he’s pissing himself. “The Trump administration needs to keep its eye on what’s happening with prices. It should be a top priority. The trend is a little bit troubling.” However, none seemed more freaked out than Virginia GOP chairman Rich Anderson, whose state party are potentially staring down the barrel of a fucking massacre in November with inflation icing on the cake of the DOGE shitshow, putting it very bluntly with “There will be a penalty to pay if there is a failure to deliver.”
