Milan, Italy Mayor Giuseppe Sala on Tuesday was not pleased to learn that convicted felon President Trump’s regime is sending ICE agents to support “diplomatic security operations” on the ground in his city during next month’s Winter Olympics, telling the Associated Press that “This is a militia that kills, a militia that enters into the homes of people, signing their own permission slips.”

“It is clear they are not welcome in Milan, without a doubt,” Sala continued. Unmentioned but possibly implied is that his city was where in 1945 deposed dictator Benito Mussolini’s corpse was strung upside down from a gas station canopy and his face punched repeatedly until it looked like a day one IHOP kitchen line cook trainee’s first attempt at a short stack of strawberry pancakes.

Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said he had not had any confirmation of the deployment, but also didn’t “see what the problem would be,” thus confirming Piantedosi is a fucking idiot. If this were Budapest or Doha or Buenos Aires then no, there probably wouldn’t be much of a problem.

Milan is not Budapest or Doha or Buenos Aires and as mentioned is where Mussolini’s corpse was desecrated so yeah it might actually be a problem. Not a lethal problem but a problem nonetheless for really any American government security personnel on the ground now that locals are under the impression that ICE will be protecting US olympians and VIP spectators.
