A new NBC News national survey finds convicted felon president Trump’s approval down to 24 percent among independent respondents, an all-time low in their polling and part of a second-term low of 36 percent overall. Of particular note to NBC’s data geeks is the drop in strong approval among Republican voters at 41 percent, the first time it ever dropped below 50, and down from 52 percent in their March/April sample. Strong approval among MAGA voters is at 62 percent.
