Secretary Hillary Clinton reviewed the history of Trump’s failures in office, after inheriting a strong economy and a united nation, including his failure to address the current problems facing the country.
“Trump came in with so much set up for him: a strong economy and a plan to deal with a pandemic,” Clinton said. “I wish Donald Trump knew how to be a president, because America needs a president right now.”
“We need Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” Clinton urged. “So this is THE team to pull our nation back from the brink.”
Talking about all the people who have approached her after the 2016 election telling her they wish they would have voted for her, or worse, would’ve voted, period, Clinton said, “This can’t be another ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda’ election.”
Clinton listed the reasons to vote for the Biden-Harris ticket: racial equity, protection for health care workers, improved education, stopping Trump’s immigration policy, and myriad others.
Clinton concluded: “Come November, if we’re strong together, we’ll heal together. We’ll redeem the soul and promise of our country led by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Secretary Clinton was First Lady during her husband’s two term presidency before becoming a US Senator from New York. During the Obama Administration, she served as Secretary of State in the first term. In 2016, she won the Democratic Party nomination for the presidency, and she earned 3 million more votes than Donald Trump in the general election.
