In a prerecorded message from Kentucky, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell claimed that Democrats want to tell people in “flyover country” how to live their lives.
McConnell started a list of grievance that he claims Democrats want to tell you when you can go to work, when your kids can go to school [Fact Check: local school boards do that], what kind of car you can drive [Fact Check: you get to buy or lease any kind of car you can afford] “and even how many hamburgers you can eat.” [Fact Check: Well, no. There is no hamburger tariff.]
McConnell said the Democrats spent last week telling us who Joe Biden is, not what he wants to do. [Fact check: Democrats released an 80-page party platform; the republicans platform was one page long.]
