“Days after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent fatally shot a Minneapolis woman in an incident that was captured on video, voters 82 – 18 percent say they have seen a video of the shooting and a majority (53 percent) think the shooting was not justified, 35 percent think it was justified, and 12 percent did not offer an opinion, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University national poll of registered voters released today. There are differences based on political party and gender. Republicans (77 – 10 percent) think the shooting was justified, while Democrats (92 – 4 percent) and independents (59 – 28 percent) think the shooting was not justified,” says a brief Quinnipiac poll conducted January 8th – 12th following the murder of Renee Good.

Following up on CBS News’s Tuesday morning story about an exodus from the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division over the orders not to open up an investigation into ICE agent Jonathan Ross over the murder of Renee Good, the New York Times adds to the disgraceful picture with additional reporting that the top three prosecutors in the Minnesota US Attorney’s office quit when they were commanded to open an investigation into Good’s widow, Rebecca, who was present at the scene.

The most on-brand part of this is that one of the guys who quit, Deputy US Attorney Joseph H Thompson, oversaw all the prosecutions into the welfare fraud in the state and obviously had been tasked with continuing those cases, the fraud being the whole reason ICE is in Minneapolis now.

It could take a decade or two, maybe longer, but the fact is that Yoon’s not a serial killer or a drug cartel boss where the offense is universally recognized as a serious harm inflicted on the public. In a letter obtained by CBS News, House Judiciary Ranking Dem Jamie Raskin on Tuesday demanded dog-murdering Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem a cough up all “records, documents, memos, and internal communications regarding the solicitation and hiring of anyone charged or investigated for actions in connection to the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.”

So really they just want to make it sound like Good, a mother of three, was a “terrorist” to further justify her murder by Ross while Ross himself is apparently in protective custody.

Insufferably pro-Israel Hedge fund douchebag Bill Ackman apparently donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe campaign for ICE agent Jonathan Ross’s legal defense – a campaign launched and managed by a Michigan man named Clyde Emmons, whose Facebook profile pic was of a Hitler salute – or was until the Intercept’s Jacqueline Sweet asked him about it and changed it afterward.

The GoFundMe has raised nearly $500,000 “for” Ross as of this writing. Who the hell knows how much some random racist MAGA asshole in Michigan is going to take for his cut. Now petty and silly as it seems to be ragging on Mediaite for a simple mistake in their coverage, especially when they picked up the Ackman and antisemitism angle earlier on Monday, there’s actually something revealingly on-brand of white nationalist Trump fanboys in the mess. In the latter article Mediaite identified Ackman as a donor to a campaign that, before its creator made some edits, said:

But Ackman donated via GoFundMe, meaning that Mediaite misidentified which fanboy had organized the campaign had donated to and which site it’s hosted on. They did not however misidentify which one was launched by a far right antisemite, because both evidently hate Jews.
