Greenland’s outgoing Prime Minister Mute Egede and his likely successor Jens-Frederik Nielsen are less than thrilled with upcoming visits by Second Lady Usha Vance and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, with both telling a local paper they’re not going to be welcome, the BBC reports.

Egede sees Waltz’s visit in particular as a provocation, given his position. “What is the security advisor doing in Greenland? The only purpose is to show a demonstration of power to us,” he told the Sermitsiaq newspaper. Nielsen echoed this, saying the visits showed a lack of respect.
