The term “journalistic malpractice” is far too professional for what happened on Fox “News” earlier Wednesday evening; it was more like a category listing on Pornhub.  The network’s supposed “straight news” anchor Bret Baier demonstrated why I choose to use quotation marks with the network’s name.  Come to think of it, maybe “straight news” refers to sexual orientation targeted, not professionalism, because there was nothing professional about that interview.  Baier stopped being a journalist and embodied virtually every conservative news site troll who solely watches his network:  angry, ignorant, and ill-informed.

Kudos to Vice President Kamala Harris.  Although she had to take a split second after Baier asked various questions to suppress a well-deserved smirk, she handled herself with integrity and grace.  At times, though, her face went from concentrating to concerned as she repeatedly heard comments from a Fox “News” comment section pop out of the interviewer’s mouth. Baier made multiple, exceptionally obvious attempts to goad Harris into an insult about Trump supporters, Fox viewers or the network itself; they failed.

Again, it would definitely suck in the short term if Harris lost the popular vote and won the Electoral College. But in the long term it would probably actual spell the end of it. And be funny karma.

Faced with a customer irate over an incorrect order on Tuesday, an unnamed 34 year-old worker at a Philadelphia Popeye’s Chicken location used an escalation technique to resolve the dispute and get the rude guest to leave the premises: Stabbing the 28 year-old repeatedly in the head and torso, forcing him to run away and seek immediate medical attention, 6ABC Philadelphia reports.

“The 28 year-old customer had some sort of dispute with employees over a food order and began attacking and assaulting one of the employees,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small with the Philadelphia Police Department said of the altercation at the Popeye’s on the 6000 block of North Broad Street in the city’s Logan section – a joint known to be somewhat rowdy. “Other employees intervened and tried to push this 28-year-old out – back out from the front door. That’s when the 34 year-old employee getting assaulted and attacked pulled a knife and stabbed the 28 year-old.”

Cops say the employee is cooperating and has not been charged. The customer is being held at a nearby hospital in stable condition. The article seems to imply that he’s in trouble, not the worker.

A former Fox News producer texted Zeteo media reporter Justin Baragona on Wednesday to review Bret Baier’s performance in the interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, writing that the propaganda network’s “straight news” anchor “showed, again, he’s not a ‘straight news’ anchor. He’s a hack who’s no different than Hannity or Watters. He bowed to the pressure from his MAGA fans because he doesn’t care as long as they don’t change the channel.”
