Andrew Loposser, the chairman of the Arlington County (VA) Republican Committee posted personal information of local people who complained to the state health department about businesses that failed to comply with state and local regulations regarding mask wearing, the Washington Post reports.
“Only part of the snitches in Arlington County,” Loposser wrote to a public Facebook group ““Arlington Neighbors Helping Each Other Through Covid-19.” “If y’all want to try to destroy businesses via the health department, we will make sure your name, email, phone numbers and addresses are well known to activists who want to peacefully protest you.”
Loposser published individuals’ names, addresses and other contact information he obtained through a public records search of the complaints.
When other members of the group complained about the doxing and pointed out the basis for wearing masks, Loposser replied, “The board and any Nazis who want to support this can pound sand.”
Loposser was banned from the Facebook group for violating its rules and his posts were deleted, but within moments of his ban, the same information was posted to a Reddit group on Arlington neighborhood issues under an anonymous name.
