Biden leads Trump 49 - 39 nationally: Economist/YouGov poll

When split by party identification and weighted, 8% of Republican respondents said they would vote for Biden compared to 5% of Democratic respondents who said would vote for Trump if the election were held today. Biden and Trump are locked in a dead heat for the Independent vote, 39% to 38%, with a further 10% saying “someone else” and 9% undecided.
