Another tracker, from Johns Hopkins University, the US surpassed 12 million total cases since the coronavirus hit American shores.
More than 83,000 patients were hospitalized with coronavirus, continuing a trend of having a 50% growth over two weeks, foreboding an increase in deaths in the coming weeks.
