Donald Trump asked Congress to rescind more than $27 billion that was included in the last spending bill, including $4 billion designated for a public-private partnership to distribute the coronavirus vaccine and other innoculations to poor countries, Politico reports.
The request, known as a claw-back, has little likelihood of passing Congress, but Trump’s desire to block coronavirus vaccine distribution worldwide will further reinforce of the idea that he’s a chaos agent bent on world destruction.
The claw-backs also include halting billions of dollars to fight hunger around the world, research into renewable energy, AIDS relief and refugee assistance programs.
