The mother of a seven-year-old boy found dead on a hiking trail near Las Vegas last month is now the subject of a manhunt as she’s become a suspect in his death, NBC News reports.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 35-year-old Samantha Moreno Rodriguez, the mother of 7-year-old Liam Husted of San Jose, California, who was found dead along a trail outside the tourist town on May 28th. The pair were last seen in Rodriguez’s 2007 dark blue Dodge Caliber, license number 6WLH211, on May 24.
Police believe the boy was dead before he was dumped along the trail, in the town of Mountain Springs, about 30 miles west of Las Vegas.
