A helicopter registered to the Department of Homeland Security flew low to the ground to kick up dirt at the site of the Line 3 pipeline protests in Minnesota, presumably to disperse protestors. The registration of the helicopter, N3949A, designates it as being owned by DHS. The protesters are demonstrating against the construction of a 36-inch pipeline, owned by a Canadian company, Enbridge, that will run from Alberta, Calgary to Superior, Wisconsin. The new construction is a replacement for an aging 34-inch pipeline and it will run through a portion of Native American land in Minnesota.
