A Florida judge has ruled that stupid old white people should be able to infect each other with Covid19 on cruises leaving from Florida ports.

“The federal government shut down all cruises in March of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, the state of Florida filed a lawsuit against the CDC over its no-sail order. The current CDC process requires each ship that will be permitting non-vaccinated guests to complete a simulation cruise before receiving approval to resume sailing once again from U.S. ports. The CDC is allowing ships with 98% vaccinated crew and 95% vaccinated guests to skip that step,” NBC 6 South Florida reports.

“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called Friday’s ruling a “major victory” against the CDC and their “obstructionist” no-sail orders. Cruises leave Florida from ports in Miami, Port Canaveral near Kennedy Space Center, and Port Everglades near Fort Lauderdale. The cruise industry generates billions for the Florida economy. The injunction is stayed until July 18, when the CDC’s orders will be considered “recommendations” or “guidelines,” the judge said in the order.”

Pundits with a strong sense of schadenfreude are anxious to see crowds of gullible old white people getting on Covid cruises, and are hopeful for future stories of ships sitting out at sea and being barred from stops in other countries, while Florida Republicans rant and rave to no end, insisting that not allowing the ships to dock is part of a “deep-state Soros funded conspiracy”, and urging the MAGA faithful to believe that somehow Florida Republican butt-hurt will be strong enough to force Carribean island nations, and Central and South American countries to let the ships dock so the plague carrying MAGAs can spread their Florida disease and filth.
