Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (Q-Ga.) issued a threat against the telecom companies that are compelled to comply with a House order to preserve her communications records in preparation for the issuance of a subpoena.
“These telecommunications companies, if they go along with this,” Greene tells Fox News host and human confusion emoji Tucker Carlson, “they will be shut down, and that’s a promise.”
The House select committee on the January 6th domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol have directed more than 60 companies to preserve the communications of Congress members Lauren Boebert, of Colorado; Jim Jordan, of Ohio; Mo Brooks, of Alabama; Madison Cawthorn, of North Carolina; Matt Gaetz, of Florida; Louie Gohmert, of Texas; Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jody Hice, both of Georgia; Scott Perry, of Pennsylvania; and Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar, both of Arizona. They’re all Republicans. Note that Greene has no power or authority to shut down a private company, particularly on the basis of them complying with a legally issued Congressional order.
