Senator Bro from MO Josh Hawley tells NBC News he’s worried that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s health issues make it harder to portray the relatively spry but similarly aged President Joe Biden as elderly and infirm when McConnell is clearly worse off, almost if holding two different positions is doesn’t come easily for Republicans in virtually any other situation you can think of – not least of which would be fat former President Trump’s extreme mental health issues.
“Am I concerned about his health? Yeah, I am. I’m concerned about the president’s health. I’m concerned about his health, and, as I said yesterday, I don’t think you can have it both ways,” said Hawley, like they don’t try to have it both ways on literally fucking anything you can think of. “I mean, if you’re concerned about the president’s ability to do his job – and I am, and a lot of Republicans say they are – then you’ve got to be concerned when it’s somebody from your own party, right? It can’t be sauce for the goose but not for the gander,” Hawley continued, without a hint of irony.
Another anonymous GOP Senator similarly expressed more concern for the party’s political health than that of the far more competent and effective of its two current leaders. “Because he’s having health problems, it makes it more difficult to attack Biden. And yet I think it’s pretty apparent Biden has significant health problems. There’s probably a double standard.” Jesus Christ, lol.
