As the nation hurtles toward a rematch of the last presidential election, it’s important to remember why the nation made the choice it did in 2020, and four years ago on May 6th, another nail was put into Trump’s coffin. Two weeks after he suggested Americans inject disinfectant or shove a UV light inside themselves to kill the virus, Trump told ABC News’s David Muir that he was just too busy to order PPE at the start of the pandemic.
“I’ll be honest,” Trump responded when Muir asked why he blamed the Obama Administration for PPE shortages although Trump had been in office more than three years. “I had a lot of things going on. We had a lot of people that refused to allow the country to be successful. They wasted a lot of time on Russia, Russia, Russia but that turned out to be a total hoax. Then they did Ukraine, Ukraine and that was a total hoax. Then they impeached the President of the United States for absolutely no reason and we even had a 197 to nothing vote by the Republicans.”
Nothing is ever Trump’s fault: the lack of PPE wasn’t Trump’s fault, just like his company hiding payoffs to porn stars aren’t his fault.
