A lawyer for the House January 6th Select Committee revealed in court Tuesday Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward pleaded the Fifth in her interview with the committee at some point earlier this year, Politico reports. “Dr. Ward was deposed by the select committee, and she declined to answer on every substantive question and asserted her rights under the Fifth Amendment,” said Committee attorney Eric Columbus to Arizona US District Court Judge Diane Humetewa. The reveal came as Ward tries to appeal Humetewa’s rejection of Ward’s lawsuit against T-Mobile to comply with a subpoena from the Committee for Ward’s phone records.
