Because the Daily Beast agreed to hide certain aspects of her identity, the woman who alleged Republican Georgia Senate candidate Hershel Walker of Texas paid for her to have an abortion has been slandered by conservative commentators as a “skank” and someone who would willing have abortions if paid. Walker himself claimed he didn’t know who she was.
But there’s a problem with that. The Daily Beast reports that the woman making the claim–and backing it up with a canceled check from Walker and a receipt from an abortion clinic, among other things–is the mother of one of Walker’s acknowledged four children.
That one detail kinda leaves the Walker campaign in a lurch: do they continue to slander the mother of the candidate’s child, who raised that child on her own with an absentee father (the candidate)? Or do they acknowledge the candidate’s error and take have the candidate sincerely take responsibility for his acti—-…. yeah, we know that ain’t gonna happen.
