Senate passes bipartisan same sex marriage bill

The Senate breaks out in applause after voting 61-36 to pass the federal recognition of same-sex marriage, with only Republicans voting against it and 11 members of the GOP voting with all Democrats to ensure the federal government recognizes all marriages. The House had passed the bill earlier, so it will go to President Biden’s desk for his signature.
