CBS News correspondent Scott MacFarlane reports the block of the DC Correction Center housing pre-trial January 6th MAGA insurrection defendants has its own little newsletter – probably something handwritten and photocopied like an 80s “fanzine” – the latest edition of which regards Kevin McCarthy’s decision to share with asshole Fox News host Tucker Carlson the 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage from January 6th with some suspicion and trepidation.
“I absolutely love the fact that Mr. McCarthy released the 44,000 hours of J6 footage. I’m so thankful for our fighters in Congress who extracted that promise from K-Mac’s sweaty palm,” wrote an unnamed defendant in the newsletter, then adding “Do we trust Rupert Murdoch who used Fox to call Arizona for Biden on election night in Nov 2020? So was the video released? We shall see.”
In very much related news, Politico reports MAGA Congressman Barry Loudermilk – himself no stranger to having Capitol footage linking him to possible crimes on January 6th – announced Tuesday that defendants’ lawyers will be given access to footage on a “case by case basis.”
