Pennsylvania QAnon freak Kathy Barnette, who came in third in the 2022 Republican US Senate primary, told Politico on Wednesday she won’t be running again in 2024, potentially removing an obstacle for 2022 gubernatorial loser and fellow QAnon freak state Senator Doug Mastriano if he ends up facing off against second-place 2022 Senate primary loser David McCormick in the upcoming primary contest to take on incumbent Democrat Senator Bob Casey.
A recent Public Policy Polling survey found Barnette’s support for a potential 2024 run at 11 percent among Keystone State Republican voters, in third behind Mastriano’s 39 percent and McCormick’s 21 percent. Probably a safe bet that Mastriano would’ve been the second choice for Barnette’s fans, making this drop-out pretty fucking bad news for NRSC chief Senator Steve Daines. Or maybe it’s good news if he can just give up on Pennsylvania now and decide to spend the money elsewhere.
