Conservative provocateur and conspiracy theorist Jack Burkman’s home was raided Monday morning, an action that will likely fuel any decade of wild conspiracy theories about the Deep State, the Washington Post reports.
Burkman and his comrade Jacob Wohl have repeatedly concoct baseless accusations against people seen by right wingnuts as actions to undermine President Trump. Burkman and Wohl have pushed conspiracy theories against Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg and NIH infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, among others.
During the raid, the FBI reported seized computers and documents. The specific investigation wasn’t revealed, but Wohl and Burkman have been linked to a scheme to manipulate political betting markets by disseminating false information. Wohl is also currently under indictment for selling an unregistered security.
The clown princes of conservative conspiracy theories, Burkman and Wohl announced a press conference, held on the steps of Burkman’s house in northern Virginia, at which they would reveal a man whom Buttigieg allegedly sexually assaulted. When the press conference was scheduled to begin, the alleged victim was nowhere to be found, and later he released a statement that he had never met Buttigieg.
