A barge carrying a construction crane reportedly broke free and struck the Three Mile Bridge during Hurricane Sally, knocking out a section of the bridge, the Pensacola New Journal reports.

The bridge connects Gulf Breeze with Pensacola. The residents of Gulf Breeze are currently isolated because the Three Mile Bridge is damaged and the other bridge connecting the area to the mainland, the Garcon Point Bridge, has been closed.
