Oligarchic JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon “has been talking privately with GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley about the global economy, and believes she has the potential to bring the country together” Axios reports in a new “scoop” they got from a “top banking source.”
Well there you have it. Nimrata appears to be the new Glenn Youngkin for the private jet GOP donor class that Axios willingly serves as if it were a private Facebook group or Subreddit. What’s not clear is why the hell it took the Republican bloodbath in the Virginia legislative elections finally crushing Axios’s stupid and embarrassing “Red Vest Retreat” pipe dream to get Dimon to anoint Haley as his and his buddies’ chosen non-Trump GOP nominee when she’s been in the race since freaking February. Now to be fair, we hadn’t seen any reports indicating Dimon himself had any involvement in the Youngkin circlejerk, but the timing and the outlet are far too cheeky to be a coincidence.
Which means that in all likelihood Nikki “Nimrata” Haley and not Ron “Pudding Fingers” DeSantis is going to be the one taking this to the bitter end against the Orange God Emperor, maybe even with Dimon and his fellow plutocrats bankrolling a convention floor fight. Then they’ll start writing checks for a convicted felon who promises to invoke the insurrection act on day one if elected.
