A federal judge in San Francisco has partially blocked President Trump’s ban on H-1B visas, which allow workers with the specialty knowledge or education to come to the country to work for companies, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The Trump Administration had put a freeze on issuing H-1B visas as a tactic to eliminate foreign immigration to the United States.
The judge’s ruling is limited to the hiring practices of the plaintiffs in the case: members of the National Association of Manufacturers, the US Chamber of Commerce, the National Retail Federation and TechNet.
