Earlier reporting that Donald Trump appeared to back away from the conservative culture war boycott of Bud Light led me to speculate in the comments that he was begging the Busch family–of the Anheuser-Busch Busches–for campaign donations. Turns out, the reason might be more obvious: Donald Trump needs money, and he holds as much as $5 million in stock of Bud Light’s parent company, InBev, as the Daily Beast reports. Trump’s InBev shares, noted on financial disclosures, reportedly netted him income between $30,000 and $100,000 in the last year.
