Missing again so far this week from the US Supreme Court’s regular orders release on Tuesday morning is any update on how the justices will handle disgraced former President Trump’s petition to remain immune from the conspiracy charges brought by Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith in DC over the fat fuck’s post-2020 election coup attempt, an omission which University of Texas Law Professor Steve Vladeck writes “does *not* necessarily mean we won’t get a ruling later today (or this week). Rulings on emergency applications can come at any time.”
In response to a reply asking if the lack of actions from Los Supremos thus far was good or bad news for accountability, Vladeck wrote “Neutral. The longer it takes, the more likely someone is writing something (which marginally increases the odds that it’s a denial). But we’re not there yet.”
