Despite his COVID diagnosis and his obvious lack of breath after walking up a flight of stair yesterday, Donald Trump’s campaign has said he plans on participating in the next scheduled presidential debate, the Wall Street Journal reports.
I am looking forward to the debate on the evening of Thursday, October 15th in Miami. It will be great!

The debate, in a town hall format, is slated for Thursday, October 15 in Miami, Florida. It will occur exactly two weeks after Trump reportedly first tested positive for the coronavirus.
Medical experts note that the coronavirus can worsen particularly in Days 7 to 10 of the infection, making Trump’s announcement to attend the debate an aspirational goal. It’s also yet to be seen if Trump will continue to exhibit symptoms of the coronavirus, such as shortness of breath, which would greatly inhibit his debate performance.
Trump may also be contagious at that time, depending of the timeframe of his infection, so it may not be feasible for him to be in Miami and in a crowd of people.
