After securing the Republican Party Presidential nomination, adjudicated rapist Donald Trump enjoyed a big influx of cash as donors congeal around him, with his Joint Fundraising Committee spending a third of the money raised to raise money.
According to Politico, Trump’s Save America JFC, the campaign’s primary funnel for cash with his PAC, raised more than $65 million in from January to March 2024, more than double the the haul from a year ago. However, because they spent $21 million to raise that amount, netting the Trump campaign just $38 million. Among other money sources, Trump’s team-up with the Republican National Committee brought in an additional $23 million, leaving the Trump campaign with most of that money coming from 18 donors who gave the max amount, just over $800,000 each. Trump’s campaign reported $93 million in cash on hand.
Trump’s take widely trails Biden’s campaign chest: the Biden campaign reported taking in $90 million in March alone, with $192 million in cash. According to its FEC filing, the campaign reports 96% of donors gave $200 or less.
