A "close protection officer" to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been arrested and suspended for allegedly betting on the date of the country's general election, Sky News reports.
A little background: While online gambling in the US is pretty much limited to sports, in Europe you can bet on pretty much anything, including politics. Earlier this year there was a big mystery over the date Sunak would announce over the special election. You see where we're going with this, and that it's an insider trading/Pete Rose type of situation. Will add however we're kind of confused about why it's illegal rather than just a fireable unbecoming of an officer. The prick cashed in and made a few bucks off the suckers who couldn't maybe comprehend that someone else might have an edge.
