Well it sure feels like things are going awesome for conservatives lately. First there was Sleepy Joe Biden’s train wreck of a debate then the patriots on the Supreme Court gave President Trump the freedom to govern without having to worry about the Deep State trying to take him down when he returns to the White House. Libs are screaming in terror and butthurt knowing he will destroy them.
Still, it’s not a sure thing. Polls can be wrong, Democrats can rig it on the margins, and it’s all pretty close. What Republicans really need to help seal the deal with American voters is a deadly foreign terrorist attack that can be blamed on the Biden Administration’s open border policies.
Just think of it: An ISIS or Hamas suicide bomber detonating a vest packed with nails and ball-bearings in the middle of a Fourth of July parade would be the perfect opportunity for Republicans in Congress to go on Fox News and say it’s a direct consequence of the 2020 election being stolen since it obviously never would have happened if Trump was still in power.
Look, terrorists know not to mess with Trump. They would think twice before hijacking a cargo plane and plowing it into the stands at Wrigley Field during this afternoon’s Cubs-Phillies game, killing thousands of fans. They know he defeated ISIS permanently and wouldn’t allow some horrific attack like that to happen on his watch. That’s the message voters need to get before they cast a ballot this November and there’s no better way to get that message to them than some Muslim terrorists hijacking a cargo plane and plowing it into the stands at Wrigley Field this afternoon.
Now let’s be clear here: Nobody actually wants Iran’s Revolutionary Guard to smuggle a tactical nuclear weapon over the border and detonate it in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. That would be horrible, but you know it wouldn’t be such a bad thing politically for Republicans. In fact it would be great for them, not just for the material to use in campaign ads or a have the smoldering wreckage of the Luxor Casino pyramid as the backdrop for a Trump rally once the radiation clears enough, but that tens of thousands of Democratic voters would be killed in the explosion.
Win-win for the GOP in a critical swing state in both the Electoral College and the Senate. Trump and Republican Senate candidate Sam Brown could pose for pictures with the first responders who risked their lives to save the injured and all of them could say this never would have happened if not for Biden’s border policies. You don’t need a focus group to tell you that’s a powerful image.
And it doesn’t have to be a radical Islamic terrorist attack. Republicans aren’t going to say “no, we’re staying away from this for the sake of decency,” if it’s some Mexican cartel guys with machine guns mowing down men, women, and children gathered to watch a fireworks show. In some ways that might even be better since it helps reinforce stereotypes about the type of people Biden has been letting come in through the open border over the last four years. Marco Rubio, JD Vance, and Doug Burgum can take a victory lap on every show Sunday morning if that happens.
They certainly would have earned it for being right with all their warnings that death and destruction were going to happen. And if foreign terrorists aren’t organized or equipped enough to cross the border undetected to pull off a deadly attack then maybe they could use some help from patriots embedded inside the FBI, Border Patrol, and other federal law enforcement agencies. Hell, maybe a right wing military contractor or militia should just go ahead and disguise themselves as jihadis before shooting up a crowded mall and leave behind some maps of the border.
If it’s not too risky. The last thing Trump and Republicans need politically is being exposed as supporting a “false flag operation.” It’d be especially embarrassing after years of them claiming every white nationalist mass shooter was actually paid by George Soros to stage their massacres.
And of course it has to be a foreign attack. That would really suck for Republicans if some far right incel with an AR-15 goes on a genocidal rampage again. That would kill their momentum.
