Several childless MAGA ladies tell the Guardian they’re not too offended by Mike Pence replacement JD Vance’s jihad against them. Certainly not enough to vote for Kamala Harris in November.
“The term ‘childless cat ladies’ – it is a little disheartening, because it is being used as dismissive or derogatory,” said Ohioan Courtney Deady, a 34-year-old who has with infertility for nine years but says she’s still leaning towards voting Trump-Vance because of “more pressing issues going on in the world, unfortunately, that should be more of a concern than comments made here and there.”
Californian former childless MAGA lady, Ashley Owings, who spent seven years trying to conceive before she and her husband were finally able to have a son, said “When it comes to infertility, when it comes to families, these are sensitive issues that shouldn’t be weaponized. I don’t believe that Trump or Vance weaponized this. I think that, in reality, it’s just communication errors.”
“If we have more kids, we are contributing more to society,” said 26 year-old North Dakotan Kaitlyn Heslep, who’s been trying for three years, adding that while she’s been disappointed with Vance’s assholery “At the end of it all, I really just want someone who is going to fix the economy.”
