But what are the chances it's unscripted? pic.twitter.com/ctzSv8QpGQ

Their actual article is based on a single sentence in an Axios report from early Monday reading “The vice president is packing her campaign schedule this week, starting with a bus tour in southern Georgia. She’ll also sit for her first interview as a presidential candidate and ramp up preparations for her Sept 10 debate against Trump.” No outlet was mentioned, but might as well assume the sit-down will be “scripted.” Then the goalposts will be some minor factual error or policy flub.
This was the last time Kamala Harris sat for an interview on cable news. On what had to be one of the worst nights of her life she remained pretty cool, calm, collected, and most importantly articulate on the facts at hand, remaining on the attack against Trump while still allowing that Joe Biden had utterly collapsed just minutes earlier. Some may want to argue she Baghdad Bobbed it a little bit, which is fine. We guess it’s also fine if certain people want to set rock-bottom expectations for her to speak with Andersen Cooper or whoever again. Thing is, even though the stakes were lower and the context was different than it will be next time, if this scarcely-mentioned hit had been a disaster for her then you would have seen it played over and over again since July 21st. This performance might very well have helped people around Biden talk him into handing her the keys.
