Oklahoma MAGA Congressman Kevin Hern tells NOTUS the whole episode with convicted felon former President Trump claiming Haitian immigrants were preying on ducks, dogs, and cats in a debate watched by at least 67 million Americans “was kind of wild, wasn’t it?” He also however found it “interesting” that debate moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis “readily had something from the city manager” to fact-check Trump on the spot, as if network anchors who make seven figures a year aren’t supposed to be good at this or they had somehow laid a trap for the fat fuck.
Hern’s fellow Trump fanboys were a little more truther-y about the “evidence” supporting the claim that the innocent animals are being eaten and it’s all Kamala Harris’s fault. “Apparently there’s pictures of” Haitians eating cats, said Florida Congressman Greg Steube. “The fact that you’re saying it’s not happening, it’s not true,” Steube insisted, before being told that the video of the cat being eaten was of a homeless crackhead in Canton, Ohio last month. “Well, apparently there’s reports that there are. In Ohio. Haitians are doing that,” Steube told NOTUS with confidence.
“It’s just interesting that, like, you have news reporters that are taking one guy’s – some city manager or something – when there’s reports,” Steube continued, also apparently upset at Muir and Davis for mentioning the Springfield city manager debunking the bullshit story. Other Florida MAGA Congressman Brian Mast said the details aren’t important because bigger picture. “The point of it is that we have a major problem with illegal immigration,” Mast declared. But then he pressed on anyway. “It’s not a stereotype that people eat different animals. I mean, it’s just a fact of the matter,” Mast said. “You go to different markets in different parts of the world, and you’re going to find horse on the menu, you’re going to find dog on the menu, you’re going to find cat on the menu,” he added, mentioning that people in his home state eat “chicken of the trees,” referring to lizards.
