Noting that they don’t know what the fuck sexual assault prevention training is supposed to have to do with the whole anti-DEI circlejerk, the Los Angeles Times reports that nonetheless at least both the Navy and Marine Corps have halted all such training, citing a Marine memo ordering “the fleet to PAUSE on all [Sexual Assault Prevention and Reporting] training due to recent changes within the White House to remove diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) from all federal policies.”
A US Navy spokesperson confirmed this as well in a statement to the Times, saying “The Navy is working to fully execute and implement all directives outlined in the Executive Orders issued by the President, ensuring that they are carried out with utmost professionalism, efficiency, and in alignment with national security objectives.” The Army, Air Force, and Space Force did not respond to requests for comment, possibly due to a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy specific to this matter.
The trainings now on pause include lessons focused on the nature of consent and sexual harassment, as well as instructions on how to safely report abuse within the military.
