In one of those quirky Election Day traditions that means absolutely nothing, the New Hampshire hamlet of Dixville Notch completed its midnight vote early this morning, casting all five votes for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, Axios reports.
Since 1960, the residents of Dixville Notch (population: 12) gather to have eligible voters cast their ballots. While some politicians consider it good luck to win the first votes cast, Dixville Notch doesn’t have a stellar record of predicting the winner: In the last 15 elections, they’ve only voted for the winner nine times.
