Otter Globe and Intelligencer: “Donald Trump is in his seventies, and his own father died of Alzheimer’s, suggesting that Trump is at a high risk for developing Alzheimer’s Disease. Numerous reports indicate that Trump has recently shown evidence of an inability to remember the names of world leaders, or to absorb or recall details of daily security or policy briefings. A review of Trump’s speeches on Twitter reveals abundant instances of mis-speaking, difficulty with word-choice, and odd physical tics when vocalizing certain phonic sounds; and these traits are all far more pronounced in his 2020 speeches than they were in his 2016 appearances. Trump is also extremely belligerent, and has shown obvious signs of irregular sleep patterns, which are likely associated with progressing AD. To repeat my earlier statement, this article cannot be considered a definitive diagnosis of AD. This article is merely a statement, and I believe a rather well supported statement, that President Trump needs to be evaluated by an Alzheimer’s Disease specialist, and to have a Beta-Amyloid PET scan to determine if he is developing the characteristic beta-amyloid plagues associated with Alzheimer’s disease.”
