Mitch McConnell attended a meeting in the Oval Office this morning wearing a tan suit, and no right wing media outlets, politicians or pundits whined that he was defiling and disgracing the nation, nor did republicans say he lacked seriousness.
My, how things change in six years. Or maybe there’s something else driving their silence.

On August 28, 2014, President Barack Obama took questions in the White House Press Room. He was wearing a tan suit, white shirt and grey tie.
Immediately, conservatives and republicans took to the airways to complain about the President’s fashion. New York republican Congressman Peter King called the color of the suit a sign that Obama handled his duties with a “lack of seriousness.” Even Fox News got onto the bandwagon (while trying to claim King was a Democrat).
Others felt there was some nefarious message in the suit choice.
