Seated in front of a number of model tractors apparently there to represent a farm he doesn’t have, California Republican Congressman and David Schwimmer-wannabe Devin Nunes told the human Lego figure Sean Hannity that Republicans will likely pursue impeachment of President Joe Biden for… something… if they regain the majority in the House of Representatives in 2022.
Nunes noted that it would require Republicans getting “good information”–his apparent euphemism for “propaganda” and “conspiracy theories”–to voters on social media platforms. Then, Nunes said, Republicans could exact revenge on Democrats by kicking them off committees and impeach Biden.
“The way that I see this, Sean, is that if, if the social, the social media platforms of some of these that have been banned and some of these new upstarts can get back and going, we’re gonna be able to get good information out to the American people again,” Nunes said.
“And, and, and look, here’s what’s gonna happen,” Nunes continued. “If we start to get good information out to the American people, Republicans have a good chance of taking control of the House in 2022.”
“Um hum,” the Lego beast concurred.
“Now, if that happens, and let’s, for example–we don’t know what’s gonna happen to Hunter Biden’s laptop. We don’t know what’s gonna happen with the Durham investigation.–I can see the pressure will become great for us to actually have to impeach Biden,” Nunes claimed without evidence.
“Oh,” the Lego beast interjected. “Yeah!”
“Now look, I don’t want to do that,” Nunes lied, “but you’re gonna have people that are gonna be saying that. And so we’re gonna be asked to kick members off their committees so all the members–every one of those impeachment managers that you just played–[Hannity had just broadcast a mish-mash of clips that, it claimed, show Democrats calling for “insurrection”, which actually were clips of Democrats calling for people to fight hard to *win* elections, not overturn them, and to confront, not attack members of Congress]–the attacks on, on members of Congress that they were advocating for [there were no such calls for attacks], every damn one of those guys could be removed from their committee in two years.
“That’s where we’re headed if the American people don’t stand up to this nonsense,” Nunes concluded without specifying if “this nonsense” he referred to was an appeal for revenge, a empty claim of an impeachment, or nonsensical conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
