Both of the Bidens’ German shepherds returned to Delaware after Major, the younger of the two dogs, reported bit a member of the White House security detail and had another incident where he charged White House staff, CNN reports.
Major, who is three years old and was adopted by a Delaware animal shelter by the Bidens in 2018, has had a number of episodes of improper behavior with White House staff, including jumping and barking at people. This is the first episode in which Major bit someone. It was unclear the situation that led to the bite.
The Bidens’ older dog, Champ, who’s 12-years-old, is an old pro in Washington, having lived with the Bidens while Joe Biden was Vice President during the Obama Administration.
