A woman who was fired from her position as deputy White House liaison for the US Agency for International Development for posting tweets attacking women, LGBTQ people and the “homo-empire” has challenged Eliot Engel, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Sen. Robert Menendez, the ranking member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to a debate.

Merritt Corrigan announced that she wants Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman by her side at this debate, according to Politico.
No one is quite sure why Corrigan, a former appointee to an entry level political position in US AID, thinks she merits the attention of two of the most influential Democrats in Congress. She has claimed that they “engaged in a corrupt campaign to remove me from USAID. I will expose it on Thursday.”
Apparently, she will hold a press conference with Wohl Thursday to detail her charges.
Politico has documented previous outbursts from this woman, who was previously an American civilian employee of the Hungarian embassy in Washington, DC.
Corrigan tweeted earlier Monday, “For too long, I’ve remained silent as the media has attacked me for my Christian beliefs, which are shared by the majority of Americans[.] Let me clear: Gay marriage isn’t marriage[.] Men aren’t women[.] US-funded Tunisian LGBT soap operas aren’t America First.”
