Four of the Duggar sisters, featured in the reality television series “19 Kids and Counting,” are suing in federal court to have records of the police investigation into their brother Josh fondling them kept sealed, the Associated Press reports.
In 2017, Jill Dillard, Jessa Seewald, Jinger Vuolo and Joy Duggar originally filed the lawsuit against local law enforcement officials and officials from the city of Springdale and Washington County, Arkansas. However, because of various criminal investigations surrounding Josh Duggar, the court delayed hearing the trial.
The Duggar sisters claim officials released too much information when discussing the case with the media, allowing the public to identify which sisters were the victims of Josh Duggar’s sexual abuse. There are nine sisters in the family, so it’s possible the specific identities of these four sisters could have remained anonymous given the potential victim pool being “any Duggar daughter.”
