Abbott took the bait within 48 hours, calling a special session explicitly to satisfy DOJ’s racial objectives. The tell? Dhillon only targeted majority-non-White districts. If this were really about partisanship rather than race, Brown notes, DOJ would’ve also gone after majority-White Democratic districts.
