Fox News is treating this Sunday like a weekday so the couch’s “A-team” are in – as are “The Five,” Frau Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Hannity, etc – and they are NOT pleased with the seismic Saturday night drop of the Ann Selzer Iowa survey, with the blonde one pointing out that Selzer’s final pre-2024 GOP caucus poll found Nikki Haley ahead of Ron DeSantis, which is… Well the top four of the last Selzer GOP poll was Trump 48, Haley 20, DeSantis 16, Ramaswamy 8 percent. The actual top four result was Trump 51, DeSantis 21, Haley 19, Ramaswamy 8 percent. So not that bad of a “miss.”

Nobody in the anti-Trump coalition with a lick of sense believes Vice President Harris has any realistic shot of winning Iowa. This finding is almost certainly an outlier. The problem for MAGA world is that we were happy with Selzer’s Trump 47 – Harris 43 finding in September. Hell if it lined up with Trump’s 53-45 win over Biden in the state in 2020 we would quietly do a little fist pump.

The final set of 2024 New York Times/Siena swing state surveys finds Vice President Kamala Harris leading convicted felon former President Trump 49 to 46 in Nevada, 48 to 46 percent in North Carolina, 49 to 47 percent in Wisconsin, and 48 to 47 percent in Georgia, while Michigan and Pennsylvania are tied at 47 and 48 percent, and Trump leads 49 to 45 percent in Arizona.

Harris also leads Trump 49 to 46 percent in the final national ABC News/Ipsos survey.

The gold standard of Iowa pollsters, J Ann Selzer, revered by all of the eggheads, finds Vice President Kamala Harris leading convicted felon former President Trump 47 to 44 percent in Iowa, which she ain’t winning but it may be a very bad sign for fat Donald in Wisconsin and Michigan.

Not coincidentally, at the same time the woman-abusing shitbag’s palace coup attempt was coming very close to succeeding and Alberta seems to hint that Corey was not at all wrong about serious graft and waste going on inside the campaign under Wiles and other co-chair Chris LaCivita. Yet the two were able to convince Trump to exile Lewandowski by selling him on more discipline as the path to winning.

• Kamala Harris’s speech on the Ellipse was one of a series of powerful, graceful oratory she’s delivered contrasting the raspy, rambling speeches of the old man opposing her.  Her appearances importantly reassure undecided voters that normalcy can be the norm, and the norm does not involve Trump.
• Let me get this straight:  Conservatives are offended because, they say, the “Your Vote is Secret” campaign undermines marriages, claiming it makes a wife go against her husband, but it’s okay for a husband to turn his wife’s bodily autonomy over to a Republican governor?
• I welcome the data that show Republicans are taking advantage of early voting and vote-by-mail.  First, because we should encourage every American to vote as an ideal but second, because many of these Republicans cast their ballots early because they’re eager to rid their Party of Trump.  I’m more encouraged by the chasm in the women:men ratio, with women outpacing men by 10 percentage points, and in PA, 100,000 new voters have already cast their ballots.

In a win for Dems, the US Supreme Court on Friday tossed a Republican lawsuit seeking to disqualify mail-in ballots missing a “secrecy envelope” or any other picayune bullshit voter errors.

Manly man Cubadian podcaster Ted Cruz, who is also a member of the US Senate (R-Quintana Roo) running for re-election, has spent more than $9,000 on luxury spa treatments since 2016, including more than $1,500 this year, in questionable expenditures, HuffPost reports.

According to FEC filings, Cruz’s campaign paid for nearly $300 in treatments at a spa in New York City while the podcaster was making a bus tour in Texas.  During two sprees in Houston, the campaign spent $1,100 in spa treatments.  Spending campaign money on personal luxuries for the candidate or a family member of the candidate violates FEC regulations.

Just trying to stay understated about all this given the stakes involved and the wages of hubris and all that. Thing is that, even all the homerism and motivated reasoning aside, there’s an important contrast here: The Trump team has been saying shit like this every single day for the past almost two years now and then really nine years about how the data and polling etc points toward nothing less than complete and total victory over the enemy (or that MSM pollsters are full of shit).

Meanwhile from the Harris team over the last three months we’ve had like how many anonymous quotations projecting real confidence and assuredness? All this “context” lately and here’s one that matters. Can’t recall EVER hearing the Harris team talk like this. Yeah David Plouffe was pretty cool and cheery on a podcast a few weeks ago but he wasn’t using words like “double-digits.”

Anyhoo, Ben Shapiro’s podcast says Dems are in desperation mode during these final days.
