In Nevada, volunteers literally showed up at field offices on Sunday asking to help and 2,500 Pennsylvanians signed up to volunteer, 4x our previous biggest day. In Wisconsin, we held our biggest rally ever on Tuesday, with more than 3,500 fired up supporters who organizers will now engage to volunteer with the campaign. Nearly 2,000 people applied to work on the campaign in the 24 hours after Vice President Harris announced her campaign – more than 3x our previous record.”

In a letter obtained by the New York Times, convicted felon former President Trump’s campaign counsel on Tuesday wrote to the heads of ABC, NBC and CBS calling their plans to carry President Joe Biden’s Oval Office address “a prime-time campaign commercial,” and cited FCC rules on fairness to demand “equal airtime” for the Orange God Emperor, based on the assumption that Biden will say something something to promote Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign.

“It appears that President Biden’s speech will not be a bona fide news event,” but a “campaign speech” wrote lawyer David Warrington in the letter. It’s not clear why these dipshits didn’t simply wait until after the address to see whether or not Biden does actually tell Americans to vote for Harris and then complain about any alleged violation of the FCC’s “equal time” rules.

In what Republican Iowa Gov Kim Reynolds is calling a “victory for life,” a judge in the Cornhole State on Tuesday lifted the final procedural hurdle for the state’s six-week abortion ban following the state Supreme Court’s decision to remand it to a lower circuit on June 28th, setting the effective date of the ban for July 29th, USA Today reports on more of the wreckage from the Dobbs decision.

Reliable-ish Ukrainian news outlet the Kyiv Post on Wednesday reported that at least three Russian Shahed drones crashed inside Romanian territory, causing a fire in the town of Nicolicești.

Two fishermen were plucked from the water off the coast of New Hampshire after a whale breached the water and capsized their boat.  Rescued by teenagers who were filming a TikTok in the boat in front of them when the incident happened, the two men sustained no serious injuries.  Per CBS News, one of the fisherman was caught under the boat as it went down.  “Thankfully it was slow enough that I could kind of swim my way out away from it before it completely capsized,” fisherman Greg Paquette said, noting that the whale had a mouthful of fish as it smashed into his boat.

The truly bipartisan effort to identify the operational deficiencies that allowed a local 20-year-old with an AR-15-style rifle climb a building and try to assassinate a presidential candidate has uncovered some actual noteworthy information–besides leading to the resignation of the head of the Secret Service.

As CNN reports, based on the number of expended shells found around him, the shooter in Butler apparently got off eight shots before being eliminated by a sniper team, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris testified on Tuesday.  The shooter may have scouted the area using a drone prior to climbing onto the roof of the building.

The building where the shooter perched was supposed to be secured by the county police, according to the overall security plan, Paris testified.  A state police sniper team, set up in a nearby building that overlooked the shooter’s location, had left their station to search for a suspicious individual they had seen earlier.  That person ended up being the shooter.

“One thing I can tell you,” guy who wouldn’t look out of place on a foosball table rod Sean Hannity says to amenable Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, “is that, I don’t care if it’s China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, they never feared Joe Biden.  They did fear Donald Trump.  They won’t fear Kamala Harris.  They’ll laugh at Kamala Harris because that’s what she does half the time anyway.  She giggles away, y’know, her time.  I don’t think they’ll take her seriously because I don’t think she’s a serious person.”

Last Sunday was the hottest day in all recorded history on Earth, a European climate agency announced, saying the global average temperature of 17.09º C/62.76º F topped records dating back to at least 1880, the Associated Press reports.  Sunday beat the previous record, set last year, by just 0.1º C, but that smashed the previous record high day in 2016 that came in at 16.8º C.

“What is truly staggering is how large the difference is between the temperature of the last 13 months and the previous temperature records,” the head of climate group Copernicus said in a statement. “We are now in truly uncharted territory and as the climate keeps warming, we are bound to see new records being broken in future months and years.”

Officials at the Secret Service are reportedly encouraging Trump campaign planners to book indoor arenas and other enclosed sites for future political rallies, not outdoor venues, the Washington Post reports, apparently expressing concerns that no outdoor site can be completely secure from gunfire or other attacks.

Trump’s campaign officials appear to be heeding the warning, with planners scouting municipal centers and basketball arenas for future events.  Of course, that would give Secret Service ways to limit access to the line of sight to the stage, but it also gives media a better gauge of the size of the crowd, rather than custom-built outdoor sites where Trump event organizers can wrangle a small number of people to look like a lot to cameras.

Demonstrating once again that Republicans are hypocritical non-rational actors, Tennessee Republican Congressman Andy Ogles filed articles of impeachment against de facto Democratic Presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming that Harris abdicated her duty to uphold the Constitution by allowing an incompetent Joe Biden to remain in office, the Daily Beast reports.

Harris “demonstrated extraordinary incompetence in the execution of her duties and responsibilities, a stark refusal to uphold the existing immigration laws, and a palpable indifference to people of the United States suffering as a result of the ongoing southern border crisis in the United States,” Ogles claims, demanding that she invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Biden, even though Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race isn’t evidence that he’s unable to do his duties.  It’s a sign he cares about the nation and the Constitution, more than Ogles.

“The only reason Kamala’s is in The White House is because of the DEI deal Biden cut with Bernie to secure the nomination,” Jesse Watters asserts, in a completely un-racist reference of the barter of a woman of color by two white men.  Claiming anyone is a “DEI hire” is code for believing no one but white men are capable.

“We have seen press reports indicating that a law firm representing Ambassador Nikki Haley has sent a cease and desist letter to our organization. We will review the letter with counsel once we receive it and provide further comment in the next few days. We enthusiastically supported Haley over former President Trump in the primaries and our mission is to encourage likeminded voters to vote for Vice President Harris in November. We do not claim to represent Haley or her views.”
